In a country where one cannot afford to be stranded on the side of the road, 1st for Women brings you Road Assist with rapid roadside emergency solutions:- Towing to the nearest dealer after a mechanical/electrical breakdown
- Cover for the call-out fee plus 1 hour’s labour for a vehicle locksmith if your keys are locked in your car
- Cover for the call-out fee plus 1 hour’s labour when assistance with a flat tyre/battery is required
- Free emergency delivery of 10 litres of fuel (charged at cost)
- Roadside referral
- Mechanic referral
- Direction service
- 72 Hours’ free storage after tows
- Notification and message service for family or business
- If you are stranded more than 100 km away from home after a breakdown and your vehicle needs to be towed to a repairer, we will arrange and pay up to R500 towards one of the following:
- Courtesy transport for yourself and a maximum of 6 people to one nominated destination
- Hotel accommodation for yourself and a maximum of 6 people if there is an overnight delay
- Car hire for a 24-hour period, subject to your provision of a credit card guarantee and limited to rental charges, delivery and collection of the hire vehicle, the first tank of fuel and surrender of the vehicle on arrival at your destination
- Towing to the nearest approved panelbeater/yard after an accident
- Collision procedure advice
We will also pay up to R500 towards the cost of collecting the vehicle and returning it to your normal place of residence after the repair has been affected.
The Breakdown Assistance service has a maximum limit of 3 call-outs per insured vehicle per year.

Please remember: It is very important that as a 1st for Women client that your TOWLINE STICKER is clearly displayed on your vehicle. If you do not call the 1st for Women Towline after an accident you will be personally responsible for the cost of towing and storage of your vehicle.

It is for this reason that we have introduced a free HIV support product to ensure that you and your family have full access to confidential HIV testing and treatment within the critical 72-hour window period after accidental exposure. This greatly reduces the possibility of becoming HIV positive.
This service is available to you, the client and your immediate family. One phone call to 1st for Women Insurance Brokers provides access to over 2 800 doctors in medical centres throughout the country.
The following benefits will be provided:- once at the doctor, you will be provided with a free HIV-test
- if the test is negative, you will be provided with Anti-Retroviral treatment, Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STD) therapy and the morning-after pill
- if the test is positive, you will be provided with STD therapy and the morning-after pill
- an ongoing phone-in counselling service will be provided to all users of this service
- counselling to the value of R3 000 per family is provided per incident
- in the event of the unfortunate incident of rape in your home, you will be given R2 000 for home security improvements.
