Legal Insurance cover: LIPCO Group (Pty) Ltd was established in 1993 to make the law affordable and accessible to all South Africans. Since 1993, LIPCO has grown to become the largest mediation organisation in South Africa. LIPCO protects over half a million South Africans' legal rights.
Legal advice and assistance consists of:
- The Basic Benefit immediately, as from the commencement date, entitles the member to free legal and labour advice for the full term of membership on any private legal or labour matter, irrespective whether the cause of action arose before or after joining LIPCO.
- The Mediation Benefit entitles the member to free informal mediation and assistance for the full term of membership on any private legal or labour matter that arose after the commencement date.
- The Litigation Benefit provides cover when a member is involved in any court proceeding or other forum, whether of a criminal, civil or labour nature, and physical representation is required (subject to the policy terms and conditions).
NOTE: Commencement date will be date that LIPCO received the first premium.
