Occupation Specific Rider Benefit (OSRB) is a permanent incapacity benefit that will be payable on a monthly basis on assessment of a disability that due to a disease, injury, accident or other cause, that continuously, permanently and significantly impairs or restricts the functioning (clinical or non-clinical) and ability of the Policyholder to practise his/her nominated specialised profession, after receiving Sickness Benefits for an aggregate of 728 days.
OSRB is available to all ordinary members of PPS Hold Co. The policyholder must have a minimum of 50 ordinary units of benefit. This benefit is not available to student members. In the event of permanent incapacity, an amount of 50 cents per ordinary unit of benefit per day or an amount of 30 cents per deferred unit of benefit per day is payable till the member reaches 66.
